Our Mission

OLAB is the Neurosurgery & Artificial Intelligence laboratory at NYU Langone Health. We study artificial intelligence to save human intelligence and understand consciousness. Our work bridges neuroscience, medicine, and machine learning — from building brain-inspired AI systems to deploying models in operating rooms and intensive care units.

Research Focus

Clinical Translation

We work closely with NYU Langone's Department of Neurosurgery to evaluate and operationalize AI systems where care is delivered. Our clinical program makes it routine to assess AI impact, usability, and safety in real healthcare settings — from intraoperative brain tumor diagnosis to large-scale medical imaging analysis.
